All seniors are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early. Upon arrival, you will check in at the front desk and confirm your information for your school and sitting. After you have successfully checked in and paid the sitting fee, you will be taken back to your personal dressing room when it is time to start your sitting. Your photographer will come meet you and discuss everything that you would like for your pictures that day. Holland studio provides all seniors with tuxedos, drapes, and pearls, as well as the cap and gown in the corresponding color of your school.
Depending on which part you wanted to start with (studio, black and white, basic, etc.), your photographer will let you get prepped and ready or bring you the required clothes to your dressing room. For the basic, young men will be fitted for a tux (tuxedo pants are not necessary) and women receive a drape and pearls. When you are ready, your photographer will come get you and begin your session. Keep in mind, Holland Studio is run on a very full schedule in the summer. The longer you take in the dressing room, the less time you have with your photographer and this could mean rescheduling certain sittings that were not possible to get to based on the time provided for your sitting. This is also why it is very important to arrive at least 15 minutes early to your sitting.
Your proofs will be ready to look at an hour after your session has finished. If you are booked in the last sitting of the day, your proofs will be ready the following business day by 10 am. All customers are welcome to come back anytime the studio is open to look at photos. You will receive a proof booklet of all your photos. These images have not been retouched or color corrected. All photos ordered or used for school will be color corrected, retouched, and fine tuned by our digital department. You can take the proof booklet home with you for a $100 deposit. This deposit is non-refundable, but it will be used toward your final purchase. We ask if you take the proof booklet home, please bring it back to order within 2 weeks. Proof booklets can also be viewed free of charge any time in the studio if you would not like to purchase the booklet. We keep seniors photos for about 2-3 years after the graduation date.
All high schools have a deadline for when yearbook photos need to be submitted. The earlier you get your pictures done, the longer you have to choose which photo would go best in the yearbook. We handle the entire process of getting your photos to the school. When you get your proof booklet back, you will be asked which photos you would like in the yearbook. Once you have chosen, we will retouch the photos and send them to the school.
After you have decided which photos you would like to order, we ask that all families call and set up an appointment to meet with one of our sales reps. When you come in for your appointment to order, you will be taken to a viewing room by one of our sales reps. There, you will be shown your photos on a larger scale. After, you have decided which pictures you would like to purchase, our sales rep will discuss packages and the process of ordering your photos. Half of the full order price is required to be paid up front after ordering. The other half can be paid at pick up or anytime before that. Finally, you will be given a time frame in which your photos will be finished and our staff will call or mail you a notification that your photos are ready for pick up.
