1. Why do senior pictures have to be made in the summer? The senior pages of your high school yearbook are the first ones to go to the publisher. Every publisher has a deadline for your school to turn in these pages and it is usually right about the time school starts! This is why it is so important to schedule your senior portraits as early in the summer as you can. (Preferably in June). If you wait until the end of the summer to call, you may not get an appointment in time to be in the yearbook!
We understand that sometimes things can happen unexpectedly. We will make every effort to accommodate you if you are running late. Depending on how late you are, we may have to drop one or more of your sessions. We have to do this because we have allotted that block of time just for you and the number of sessions you have scheduled. If you have a one-hour appointment and you are 15 minutes late, we will only have 45 to shoot your portraits instead of an hour. This may cut down on the number of poses we are able to shoot. If your appointment is at 10:00, that is the time you need to be ready to take your first shot. Please be prepared to arrive at the studio 15 minutes early. You need this time to check in, pay your sitting fee, and get settled into a dressing room. Always allow time for traffic and weather conditions.
The only thing you have to pay at your appointment time is the sitting fee. If you know you would like to take your proofs home, you may pay the $100.00 deposit in addition to the sittng fee.
The Basic session is what you need to have for the yearbook. For some schools, the Basic is different than tux or drape. Some schools require or give the option of a casual photo. To find the requirements for your school look to the top right hand corner of this and every page on thei website, click the drop-down menu and select your school.
Definately. We encourage seniors to bring in all kinds of props. We've seen everything from trophies, medals, instruments, sports uniforms, pets, and even pirate costumes! Feel free to bring whatever you want to help individualize your senior portrait. Yes, we have a handful of people bring horses with them every year. Please let us know in advance if you will be bringing a horse or a car or truck, for example, so we can accommodate you accordingly.
Your proofs will be ready one hour after your shoot. You can wait for them in the lobby, or you can come back to view them after an hour. The last appointment of the day will be able to view their proofs the following morning.
Yes you can. There is a $100.00 deposit that you must put down to take your proofs home. The deposit is not refundable, but it does go towards your final order. |
